Interesting.

Maybe a few comments and explanations by the author could make the project useful to a larger audience.

I have some different implementations of the same idea:

So please check them out for more explanations.

Superposition of harmonics: I expect many older children could build this script with the new Vector and Graph morphs. This would be one of the most beautiful and concrete ways to reinforce the discoveries from an experiment with a stringed instrument or a tone generator.

This version runs quite slowly on a 2 GHz processor, but if I make the steps ten times longer, it becomes quite lively, and still makes a smooth plot.

Yes. I changed the angular speed to be 1, 3, 5 (like my older implementation) and it is better. Thanks.

I could see how this would be an excellent way for students to see the relationship between a vector's movement about a point and its graph. Having not seen the PHASER project that this is based on, I think it could benefit from some sort of explanation about what we're seeing and perhaps some guidance on what variables to play with and what they might yield.

Christine,

But have you seen my older projects?

Oh, well, I uploaded an unrelated project to the showcase server and now my square wave version is gone. (This has been happening to others and I knew it was not going to work but sure enough...)

Please check out the project at: http://squeakland.jp/seaside/SBSuperSwiki/1f5053f7-edd7-4d43-bcfc-e8bee42ec3cb
