Terrific demonstration. Really shows how Etoys can make mathematics visible, and allows tweaking.

It is good to see a fourier synthesis on etoys. The text states it "approximates" a square wave, but it is doing a triangle wave or sawtooth - so that could be changed to avoid confusion. In the second paragraph "are" should be changed to "is".

Also, it crashed twice when I changed the playfield's depth to 25. If that happens always, some sort of warning should be included.

Thank you, Randy. I fixed the wordings in the text. Haven't added the depth limit. I think the problem is the use of Playfields to represent these bars. use Rectangles and a bit of textual script to embed one into another, the end result should be much faster.
