Silvana Realini Cujó from Salto, Uruguay (since 2008) 2009-Oct-12

Gavin Romig-Koch from North Carolina, United States 2009-Oct-12

Alejandro Garcia from Zacatecas (since 2008) 2009-Oct-12

I'm interested in technology for education.

Wolfgang Eder from Vienna, Austria 2009-Oct-12

It's a great, inspiring toy for my kids, and myself too :)

Carlos Rabassa from Montevideo, Uruguay (since 2009) 2009-Oct-12

Rosamel from Durazno, Uruguay (since 2008) 2009-Oct-12

Dave Lewis from Michigan, United States (since 1999) 2009-Oct-11

maria cristina sallé leiva from Carmelo , Uruguay (since 2008) 2009-Oct-11

Christine from Columbus, United States (since 2009) 2009-Oct-11

I'm still learning how to use it, but from what I can tell it is an incredibly powerful development tool. The drag and drop style of programming is great for kids.

Cristina Zárate from San José, Uruguay (since 2009) 2009-Oct-11

Mariana Herrera from Montevideo, Uruguay (since 2008) 2009-Oct-11

Sdenka Salas from Puno, Peru (since 2002)

I felt in love with Etoys the first time I used it, it was so different to current software developed for kids. Alan Kay's vision touched my heart. Since then I've been shared my enthusiasm with teachers, parents and, of course, with children, too.

Tony Forster from Melbourne, Australia (since 2006)

A tool to think with

Esther Mietzsch from Darmstadt, Germany (since 2004)

There is always something to do.

Bruce Prior from Burnaby, BC, Canada (since 2006)

I use Squeak mostly, but dabble in eToys from time to time for good fun.

Michael Schneider from Munich, Germany (since 2007)

Vaidotas Didžbalis from Vilnius, Lithuania (since 2004)

I like Etoys because they are Squeakish ;-)

Winfried Jacobs from Cologne, Germany (since 2001)

Michael Haupt from Potsdam, Germany (since 2007)

Robert Krahn from Germany, Germany (since 2006)

Pascal Vollmer from Karlsruhe, Germany (since 2005)

Using Smalltalk/Squeak was to me like removing a curtain which had veiled the essence of object-oriented programming.

Göran Krampe from Stockholm, Sweden (since 1999)

Juergen Beckmerhagen from Germany (since 2007)

Because it is a good way for learning object oriented software design (not only with kids) - and because the SmallTalk community has many smart and friendly people.

Stefan Schmiedl from Germany

One of the best tools to introduce OOP concepts in a fun way.

Edward Mokurai Cherlin from Cupertino CA, United States (since 2007)

Having Etoys in the standard Sugar software distribution for the One Laptop Per Child XO and other computers means that we can for the first time integrate software into a curriculum. Previously, students had infrequent and irregular access to computers in school, and no uniformity in hardware or software. Now children get to take their Etoys home and do collaborative homework in it. See http://www.earthtreasury.org//wiki.cgi?ReplacingTextbooks Plus it's way cool software, and I have been wanting to do this since I first saw Smalltalk in 1981 and heard about the Dynabook.

Freemor from NB, Canada (since 2008)

Fun, Educational, Fast, Extensible

Diomidis Spinellis from Athens, Greece (since 2007)

I enjoy programming in various languages like C++, Perl, Java, and Haskell. However, Etoys is different, because it brings to programming the fun of exploration.

Simon Guest from Dunedin, New Zealand (since 2006)

Nevit Dilmen from Istanbul, Turkey (since 2009)

Ángel Vásquez Chávez from Cochabamba, Bolivia (since 2009)
